I've worked in remedial massage for more than fifteen years, and my approach has evolved a lot in that time.

I still work remedially and I'm not afraid of depth, but I don't believe effective treatment needs to mean pushing the body as hard as possible.

Sessions may include remedial techniques, fascia work, cupping and slower hands-on work, depending on what we're working with.

Some sessions are more focused and treatment-based, while others may call for a slower approach. Often, it’s a combination of both.

My counselling work is grounded in conversation, somatic awareness and mindfulness. We start with whatever is bringing you in ... what’s been happening, what feels important or perhaps something you haven’t quite made sense of yet.

I work from a person-centred approach, which means there isn’t a set direction a session will take. We might talk something through, notice patterns, stay with an emotion or become curious about what’s happening in the body alongside the words.

For me, somatic awareness and mindfulness aren’t separate from the counselling process. They help us slow things down, notice what’s happening in the moment and include more of your experience than thoughts alone.

Sometimes that might mean bringing attention to a sensation, a breath, an impulse, or a shift in the body. Other times it may simply shape the way we pause, notice and stay curious together.

Energetics is the more intuitive side of my work. Sessions begin by checking in with what’s bringing you there and anything you’d like to focus on, before moving into the energetic work itself.

I may scan through the chakras and different areas of the body, or use practices such as cord cutting, energetic clearing, ritual and guided meditation. What we use will depend on the session and what comes forward as we work.

You might notice sensations, emotions, memories or imagery, or you might simply feel deeply relaxed. We can pause, talk about what you're noticing and make room for whatever the experience brings up for you.

Some people come with something specific they want to work with ... grief, a relationship, feeling stuck, creativity or a transition ... while others come because they feel drawn to an energetic reset without needing to know exactly why.

There isn't a script for these sessions. We start with what you're bringing in and let the work take shape from there.
